Set within the calm farmlands of Chegur, this 2BHK weekend farmhouse is designed as an expression of material authenticity and quiet living. The structure rests lightly on the land its butterfly roof crafted from locally sourced acacia wood and supported by granite base columns on a rubble stone foundation.
Natural light enters gently beneath the roof, guiding rainwater toward the lotus pond at the center of the home, where utility and experience merge into a moment of stillness.
Exposed CSEB block walls are left raw, allowing the texture of earth to age gracefully over time. A curved jali wall forms a semi-private edge to the property, balancing openness with privacy.
With a minimal palette of wood, stone, and earth, the home embraces climate-conscious construction while creating a warm, grounded atmosphere. The surrounding landscape expands the experience through a swimming pool, fire pit, vegetable garden, and flowering plants fostering a continuous dialogue between architecture and nature.
